After the toy is sewn together an additional piece of black trim is added to cover the four rows of stitching.  Great dog toyMay 06, 2010

We just bought our second one of these because our dog wore out the first one, but it took him nine months to chew through one of its three arms. He's a Schnoodle and weighs seventeen pounds. He's a hard chewer who will go though ordinary toys in an hour, so we were really happy when we found this line of toys. We also own the flying disk (still not ruined after nine months) and the bone (too big for him but he loves it and it's still intact). This boomerang though is his favorite. He likes us to throw it and it has a somewhat frisbee-like (or numchuck?) throw. And he plays tug of war with it. Sometimes though he just likes to sit or lie there and chew on it and shake it with the squeakers squeaking. There something about the fuzzy texture that he also seems to like because he'll sleep with it between his paws, resting his head on it.

My dog put a hole in it in less than a hour. He also pulled the stuff out of the other toy that took him 1/2 a day and that piece was rated @ 10 :{

I got this for my 25 pound poodle mix. He tore through it in less than a day (about an hour of play) and was pulling the stuffing out, and the squeakers. It's a shame because it's a fun toy for both canine and human. My dog truly loved it more than just about any toy he's ever had, and is beside himself since we took it away rather than let him leave a trail of stuffing through house. I know it says on the package "There is no such thing as indestructible" but it really should last more than a day.

I bought this item for its advertised toughness since my dog (35lb lab mix) makes it her mission to chew through most "tough" toys in about 30 minutes. It's almost as if I'm throwing down the gauntlet each time I give her a toy. She works a seam until it gives and then picks at it until its a tear. At that point it's game over. To its credit, the Bowmerang lasted over 3 hours and completely captivated my dog. I purchased this along with several other "tough" toys which fared far worse. The only toys I use now are Nylabone and Kong products.

Not tuff at all. Our American Bulldog chewed the end open in 15 mins after we gave it to her and pulled the the stuffing and one of the squeaker out. We had to take it away from her. Don't recommend for those "really destructive dogs" like our girl.
